Dr Manjeet Mehta is a Medical Geneticist of National repute, with experience of more than 30 years. She is currently the Director- Medical Genetics and & Clinical Genomics, Genome International India Pvt Ltd. After completing PhD from Jaslok Hospital, Mumbai, she worked with the Genetic Research Centre at Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Bombay. Additionally taken post doctoral training at Cancer Genetics Department, Tata Memorial Hospital; as well as two posts internationally – Department of Genetic Medicine in North York Hospital, Toronto, and in Department of Cardiovascular Genetics, UCL, London. She has been Head of Genetics at Dr Lal PathLabs, Metropolis, Kokilaben Ambani Hospital and iGenetic Diagnostics. Dr Mehta has done extensive work on Whole Genome studies as the Head of Clinical Diagnostics at Global Gene Corp, She has recently been trained in whole genome methods at the Center for Genome Analysis, Yale. Having done several research projects in Genetics, her areas of interest are: Indian Specific Variations in Human Genome, Genes & Disease Association, Genetic basis of Disease, and Fetal Origin of Adult Disease. She is actively involved in several associations as Executive Committee Member and is on the editorial board for a couple of journals. She is frequently invited as a speaker at medical conferences in India & abroad.
